Field Sales Representative – Seattle / South King / Pierce / Thurston / Lewis Counties & Kitsap Peninsula


Summary:  Develop and execute sales plan for assigned Fabricator, OEM and CM accounts focusing on business retention, account penetration and demand identification initiatives to exceed established sales and forecast/goals.  Develop new business within the territory.  Preferred location is Seattle or South King County.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Identify, track and pursue available business at assigned account base and/or in assigned geographic territory.
  • Manage account activity to ensure proper product penetration and volume increases.
  • Travel to accounts in territory to meet with current and prospective customers to present and reinforce Company’s services and solutions in an effort to identify and close business opportunities.
  • Utilize all internal and external resources necessary to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Display, recommend or demonstrate products and/or services using appropriate sales and marketing collateral.
  • Develop and present professional business proposals to existing and prospective customers.
  • Prepare and submit strategic account call itinerary and call reports as required.
  • Work with and communicate with inside sales to coordinate account activities and strategies.
  • Develop strong, productive supplier relationships and coordinate customer product presentations with suppliers and representatives.
  • Update customer profile tools and use information to efficiently manage territory as required.
  • Develop, maintain and advance relationships with key customer contacts including purchasing, engineering and upper management within assigned account base.
  • Directly solicit customer service feedback and, if necessary, assist in the coordination of resolution to any problems or issues.
  • Participate in supplier online and on-site training sessions.
  • Attend select trade shows as required.
  • Prepare and submit business expense reports as required.

Strong communication and writing skills. 

Ability to clearly and effectively set goals. 

Proven track record of implementing and exceeding sales goals. 

Self- motivated. 

Education and/or Experience:  Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university; or four plus years related sales/marketing experience; or a combination of education and experience.  Experience in technical sales, or electronic component distribution sales or closely related field preferred.

Computer Skills   Proficiency in the following applications:  Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  Ability to use and train on Company specific sales tracking software.

Frequent travel required.
