Act as the lead corporate contact for Heilind with assigned major supplier.† Support Product Management, Asset, Sales and Marketing in their efforts to promote each assigned product line, grow sales in those lines and resolve related delivery, pricing and quality problems as required.† Actively and effectively promote Heilind to the senior executives, management, sales and product marketing. Work with all organizational levels of Heilind and assigned supplier to develop a true partnership relationship between Heilind and assigned supplier.† The position requires regular communications and collaboration with assigned supplier

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be the primary corporate Heilind contact for assigned suppliers.
  • Promote Heilindís value proposition to assigned suppliers, promote the products, plans and goals of assigned suppliers to Heilind Sales and Product Marketing personnel.
  • Coordinate all Heilind supplier-related activities and strategies that promote increased growth and profitability for Heilind.
  • Support Heilind sales and marketing strategies and communicate those strategies to suppliers as required; develop joint plans and programs for executing those strategies.
  • Facilitate communications of issues and opportunities between each assigned supplier and Heilind management, Product Management, Asset and Sales.† Work with all parties to quickly resolve issues and win opportunities.
  • Work with divisional and district Sales Management and Regional Product Management to develop and implement supplier-specific sales strategies and tactics.
  • Work with Asset on inventory, commodity profiles, stocking packages and inventory issues.
  • Develop annual corporate business plans for all assigned† supplier
  • Lead the development, in collaboration with the branch and district management team s, of annual branch business plans for the assigned supplier. Develop and annual coop marketing and advertising plan by collaborating with the Heilind and Supplier marketing teams.
  • Work with suppliers for continuous improvement of key business† metrics
  • Work with suppliers and Heilind Information Systems and Marketing staff to automate business transactions and develop mutually supportive website links and content.
  • Work with suppliers and Heilind Sales and Product Management to develop, coordinate and communicate appropriate product training and sales promotions.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with each core supplier and semi-annual or annual business reviews with other suppliers as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or eight-plus years related sales/marketing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Significant experience in electronic component distribution sales, electronic component manufacturing, connector product knowledge and applications preferred.
  • Demonstrated† knowledge of accounting and purchasing practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to clearly express ideas both verbally and in writing; strong presentation skills.†
  • Ability to develop and execute a business plan.
  • Strong MS Office skills, Word, Excel and PowerPoint in particular
  • Frequent travel required.
